Ahh!! My apologies to the thousands of followers waiting upon my marvellous blogging… ha ha ha
ANYWAYS, enough humour for one evening, it has been a stretch since my last post. WEEK 2. All I can say is WOW, this week was I EVER checked out. Since moving into my new place it has taken over a smidgen of my life. [BTW, I also apologize for not yet posting photos of my new apartment. Coming soon, I promise.] However, I can safely say, I have stayed on top of my school work and plan to spend a little extra time this weekend preparing for next week (ambition can appear at anytime).
As a side note, it is beyond wonderful to finally have a place to call home. Walking around campus, taking public transport, being aware of my whereabouts… it's all starting to come together. This evening I walked to the corner grocery store in need of milk for the morning [which BTW I need to learn how to read labels - the whole bottle expires in two days!?!?!? silly me!] and on the walk back I past the UQ sign. It was lit up and looked stunning bringing a smile to my face. I am absolutely enjoying every minute of my experience and feel so fortunate for this opportunity.

This week in anatomy lecture the pace picked up. For comparisons sake - a 0 to 60mph kind of pace. But, with a great prac group and of course my speechie bestie, S.G., I have survived! The million lattes, steamers and glass(es) of wine might have also helped. The next two years look promising for any Australian coffee shops and/or wineries.
Then there was the speechie-southbank-sangria-shindig where a group of us set out to listen commendably to our Master of Speech Pathology program director/Professor with respect to acquiring a ‘balance between school and life’. As you can tell this was a challenging task for some of us and ordering that jug, oh shucks, those jugs of sangria was a hard line to draw. It was great to get out and learn more about a few of my speech ‘mates’ in a different setting. The perfect amount of laughter was had and I cannot wait for many more great evenings & memories.
The rest of the week has been rather boring, uni-sleep-running, yah know, the usual routine. Thankfully, the weekend looks promising. A trip to the markets Saturday morning for fresh produce and brunch followed by a Sunday getaway with a cool view. Currently, this expedition has an undecided location but will surely include a spectacular view. Be jealous.
I'm now just looking at the clock and thinking I better call it a night. As they would say in Aussie "have a good one!"
