Yesterday I woke up with a self induced headache and bittersweet feelings. I was leaving High Level for the last time. The past week had been full of hugs, farewells & tears but also many great last memories. It is impossible to say thank you enough times to a place that allowed me [at times] to be the best possible version of myself. I can’t count the number of great memories that happened way up North. From crazy busy schedules to jam-packed weekend long adventures we did it – all of it. Yesterday I left a - community where the people who have become friends now seem like family - job that has taught me a great deal about speech and language and that becoming an SLP is for me - million and one memories that can never be forgotten or replaced - grammatical word structure error behind because “ I seen that happening” … My hope is to find a place as wonderful as HL in the future. No experience thus far can compare to the community and especially not the friends. If any one is ever in Australia I hope we catch up. Ending on a more positive note I am very excited for the next few weeks as there is so much to look forward too! Below is a slideshow of some photos from my year in High Level. Enjoy :) |
