Do we all remember those moments I have made my parents uber proud:
- late night phone calls
- missing curfew
- losing my license and visa card the day before I move across the world…
Well I DID IT AGAIN!!! This time, I locked myself out of my room inside my apartment. With no spare key and the lock being high security, meaning good luck opening the door, I spent my Saturday afternoon doing NOTHING. I was in comfy clothes (aka not meant for public viewing) and had no phone/key/wallet as literally everything was inside my room. Luckily, my roommate was home and she was able to call a locksmith. After a long wait and a $120 dollar bill later I was finally back in my room. UGH! I had not even lived in the apartment for an entire week and I managed to lock myself out!!
Otherwise, my weekend was lovely! Friday was a night out on the town. Saturday was much more relaxed and included the above escapade. Then on Sunday a group of us completed the Laidley Creek valley tour. The drive took us Southwest of Brisbane where we stopped in Grandchester, Laidley and Forest Hill.

This week contains on 3 school days :) Wednesday is a public holiday for the Ekka, Brisbane’s fair - equivalent to Calgary Stampede but less people, and Friday I have no classes. Last night (Tuesday) my anatomy practical ladies decided we needed an evening out. We went to Southbank for dinner and dessert. I ended up having an absolute blast! I can't believe how beautiful Brisbane is and it is beyond wonderful to share the experience with a great group of girls!
