Since moving home from High Level I have been busy packing, planning & visiting. With much dismay I went through and organized all my belongings. Reorganizing brought back many memories along with the realization that I was a pack rat. I managed to purge a large amount of clothing and shoes. Although, my mother might disagree as my closet still contains a fair amount of clothes.
During my two weeks at home I managed to sneak in at least a visit with close family and friends. From Provost - Lacombe - Calgary - Lethbridge each visit was wonderful & much needed. Thanks ladies! Right now is such an exciting time for myself and the majority of my friends! I couldn't be happier for everyone and the new adventures they are about to embark on.
The next and most important thank you goes out to my parents. This process has been quite the roller coaster ride! Tons of paperwork in which they basically signed their lives away for me to pursue my dreams! Thank you will never be enough. However, my dad claims a pay check in 2.5 years will help!!! They have been my saving grace (as always) and I hope being away gives them a break from all of my (over-dramatic) "problems". Dad, this means no more moving and/or vehicle issues to deal with, I promise! Also, you're welcome for decreasing the UFA bill.
When I left Edmonton Wednesday morning I was so tired saying goodbye wasn't as difficult as I expected. I arrived in Vancouver, checked my luggage into storage and ventured downtown to explore. That afternoon I made my way out to the Sunshine Coast. The ferry ride was spectacular. C.M. eventually arrived and we instantly went to a dock along the water. Earlier that day he had set a crab trap. The crabs caught were females and too small but it was super cool to see. Gibsons is a quaint little town with cute shops and restaurants. I really enjoyed my short visit. C.M. lives a tough life on the Sunshine Coast - quite the contrast from High Level. I then went back to Vancouver where K.L. picked me up. She graciously spent the afternoon at Kitsilano Beach paddle boarding with me. It was my first time and I loved it! I then took the bus and Skytrainssssss (so confusing) out to Coquitlam to spend the evening with relatives.

1. I don't do well taking public transportation. This scares me as it is my new means of transportation in Australia.
2. While out for an afternoon walk you may come across some very weird people in very weird situations.
For instance, you may walk up a set of stairs to discover a man covered in blood and intoxicated. The incident may have occurred due to rock being thrown at his head. Apparently, insane events such as this once happen often.
3. Never take out important cards such as an Alberta Drivers License and your only Visa card from your wallet and place them in your jeans pocket for "convenience" - YOU WILL LOSE THEM.
Unfortunately, this event may have happened to me. Yet another moment making my parents so proud...
Currently I am sitting at the departure gate waiting to board a plane.
I am off to Beijing first. I will then fly: Beijing-Bangkok-Brisbane.
So off I go, an Alberta Drivers License and Visa card less, to Australia.
Let the adventure BEGIN!
